The Kind of Love That Saves

TESTIMONY WEDNESDAY!

“Return home and tell how much God has done for you.”

~ Luke 8:39

Testimony Tuesdays!!! A testimony by definition is: a formal written or spoken statement, a public recounting of a religious conversion or experience. The Bible commands us in numerous places to bring praise, glory, and honor to our God by proclaiming, declaring, and telling about His marvelous works to others. That is the purpose and heart behind this installment for my Tuesday posts. Each Tuesday (more or less), a testimony will be shared here involving the recounting of salvation, redemption, overcoming, and/or healing just to name a few; A story that brings glory to our God and in which we might be encouraged, spurred on, and challenged with at the same time. The stories that will be shared will either be of my own personal experiences, excerpts from books, testimonies I find via youtube or other media sources, as well as YOURS! I would love to know and give you the opportunity to share here with us a testimony of your own, of whatever fashion that involves the Lord doing a transforming work in your life. Just email me your testimony and I will see what I can do about posting it on a future Tuesday! You may choose to have your name be known or anonymous. I look forward to hearing from you!

In the past, the kind of blog posts I would typically share around the time of Valentine's Day were blog posts featuring the Valentine's Day card creations I like to make each year for all my friends (they are pretty fantastic, you should check them out!) There is not much else this single girl has to offer that's worth sharing with the world wide web about this holiday, BUT this year I decided to post something a little different than what I normally do. 1.) because ain't nobody (me) got time to make Valentines Day cards this year, I'm in Israel! AND  2.) So I know today is not Tuesday, which is the day I usually save for sharing testimonies, but I thought I would take the opportunity to use this superfluous holiday to share with you about the truest love that I've found; the love that has transformed me, and saved me, and will forever be what I live for, regardless of what my marital status may be.

The love I speak of is that of Jesus Christ. Today I will be featuring a video of me sharing my testimony with a couple hundred students during the Ballet Magnificat Summer Dance Intensive this past summer. It is just a short compilation of snippets of me talking about my passion and love for Jesus, the one who so greatly loves me, and you, and all his creation. For a more extensive version of my testimony, to hear what God has brought me through, to get the 20-minute version of my story you may want to check out the following link of a blog post I shared in 2016 featuring a longer presentation of me speaking... if you can bear it. Hah! I am no public speaker but if ever I try, it is to make the glory of God known: My Story: The Testimony of Lillian Ortiz

Be Blessed!

  1. Hello Lillian. I am a Pastor from Mumbai, India. I am glad to stop by your profile on the blogger and the blog post. I am also blessed and feel privileged and honored to get connected with you as well as know you and about your interest in Godly things. I am sorry to miss your testimony on Video as my computer speakers are not working but I am truly blessed to know your passion and vision. I love getting connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 39 yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the brokenhearted. We also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have you come to Mumbai to work with us during your vacation time. I am sure you will have a life changing experience. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. God's richest blessings on you, your family and friends also wishing you and your family a blessed and a Christ centered rest of the year 2018. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar Wankhede.

    1. Dear Diwakar Wankhede, Thank you for reaching out to me! I am equally truely bless by your mission and vision for reaching out to the poorest of the poor, spreading the love of Jesus Christ. It is so refreshing to hear from like minded believers. I have never been to Mumbai and perhaps one day I will get to see with my own eyes what your city of beautiful land, people, and culture has to offer but to be straight forward, I do not see that happening in my recent or near future. If you know anything about America it might be the fact that American's work very much and don't always take much vacation time as is true in my case. The traveling Ballet Company I work with keeps me very busy, but if by chance a window of free time presents itself I will keep you, Mumbai, and your organization in mind. God Bless you dear brother in Christ, and all your ministry endeavors in the name of Jesus.

      ~Lillian
