Testimony Tuesday | Nabeel Qureshi

TESTIMONY WEDNESDAY!

“Return home and tell how much God has done for you.”

~ Luke 8:39

Testimony Tuesdays!!! A testimony by definition is: a formal written or spoken statement, a public recounting of a religious conversion or experience. The Bible commands us in numerous places to bring praise, glory, and honor to our God by proclaiming, declaring, and telling about His marvelous works to others. That is the purpose and heart behind this installment for my Tuesday posts. Each Tuesday (more or less), a testimony will be shared here involving the recounting of salvation, redemption, overcoming, and/or healing just to name a few; A story that brings glory to our God and in which we might be encouraged, spurred on, and challenged with at the same time. The stories that will be shared will either be of my own personal experiences, excerpts from books, testimonies I find via youtube or other media sources, as well as YOURS! I would love to know and give you the opportunity to share here with us a testimony of your own, of whatever fashion that involves the Lord doing a transforming work in your life. Just email me your testimony and I will see what I can do about posting it on a future Tuesday! You may choose to have your name be known or anonymous. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am in Israel right now with the Ballet Magnificat Alpha Company! We are working alongside an organization called Helping Hands Coalition and we have performance bookings in the cities of Tzfat, Netanya, Haifa, Ashdod, and Nazareth, performing specifically for Russian holocaust survivors and their family members. Israel is such an interesting country to me with so many different cultures and faiths mixed all together. Thinking about all the misled people following after false religions makes my heart burn for evangelism, desiring for people to know the one true great and glorious Saviour. The fact that I can yearn so badly to talk to strangers about the life-giving message of the gospel is a wonder to me, being that I am naturally so shy and introverted, but I guess once one has experienced the redeeming love of Yeshua and our Father God in heaven, it is only a natural byproduct to want to share of Him with others. I have high expectations of God setting up divine appointments for me to meet with 'hungry' unbelievers here in Israel that I might be able to share truth with them, praying that boldness will be supplied to me in those times by the Holy Spirit. Would you join me in prayer for these things for me ultimately for His glory?

When thinking about Israel and the middle east it cannot be helped but that the Muslim world comes to my mind. With that as inspiration, today I'm going to share with you the powerful salvation testimony of Nabeel Qureshi, an American Christian convert from the Ahmadiyya sect of Islam. Observe from his testimony God's relentless pursuit after Nabeel's soul. Observe Nabeel's determination to find truth, his sensitivity to the Spirit, and his obedient surrender to what he came to learn was true, regardless of the cost.

Be Blessed.

One other thing that encouraged me in Nabeel's testimony above is the role that his friend David played in leading him to the Lord. I may not be a learned apologist, but the example of David standing up for truth and sharing it boldly in a loving way motivates me to do the same in my own personal ministry. With sadness may it be known that Nabeel went to be with the Lord this past September. If his life and this topic interests you and you would like more insight into the transforming work that the Lord God did in the former Islamist, Nabeel, check out THIS sweet interview of Nabeel's friend David sharing his perspective on Nabeel's life and legacy. Nabeel's powerful funeral service made public can also be viewed HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday!
