Hello, my fellow dancer friends! Today I thought I would address what I know is a common topic of discussion amongst us dancers: how to prepare pointe shoes!
For as many different kinds of feet as there are out there, there are that many different kinds of ways our pointe shoes can be catered to suit them. Most non-dancers haven't a clue as to what we all do to customize our shoes in order to make them as visually pleasing and comfortable as they can be for our own unique individual feet! Some people might mistake the "breaking in" process of our shoes to be mutilating destruction, but we know a dancer's got to do what a dancer's got to do!
I feel like I've tried it all; From 3/4 shanking my shoes, to leaving off the elastic, but today I'm going to share with you what my top four favorite things are that I like to do to my Grishko 2007 Pro pointe shoes. Remember, every foot is different as well as every point shoe so these things may or may not work for you. I hope you enjoy today's blog post as I share my tips with you in the format of a youtube video. I'm not sure you should get used to this format, as I'm not sure that I myself will get used to producing such material. It was a fun experience, but I'm not sure in front of a camera is where I belong, not to mention that video editing is just not my thing, so be gracious! Glean whatever facts you can from it, and let me know what you think! Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you found this youtube video to be helpful!

Happy Dancing!
